The Libyan terrorists who blew that jet up over Lockerbie, Scotland effectively ruined the
illusion of safe air travel for everyone pretty much forever. Until this episode, the occasional
high-jacking of jets to illuminate political points-of-view usually ended in some sort of
conclusion to those involved (good or bad) but on terra firma. This event upped the ante to
a new and much more macabre spin. A terrifying upgrade of terror tactics utilized
throughout mankind’s history to illuminate a political point of view.
